Benefits
Pain relief – reduces muscle tension, reduces general fatigue, increases blood flow to treated muscles, speeds up recovery, and reduce delayed muscle onset (DOMs).
Posture – once pain is relieved and muscles/tendons back to their natural state, this will help the body to go back into its natural posture.
Increased range of motion – As the muscle/tendons is worked it will relieve the tension and help restore the muscle/tendons to its natural state and provide the joint with more range of motion.
Reduce stress and anxiety – Throughout the sports massage treatment the body will release endorphins which will encourage relaxation, helping reduce stress/anxiety levels.
Increased body awareness – you will know when you have trained enough, done too much everyday activities, or when another episode is going to start. This is when you know it is time to slow down and possibly time to seek out more treatment.
